The event will be hosted by local community organisers Jade Bashford and Louise Romain, with the participation of District and County Councillors from the Housing Committee.
How can we redistribute our housing infrastructure and tend to local people’s needs? If this topic matters to you and you’ve got a spare bedroom, join a public meeting on August 8th 3-5pm, at the Trinity Rooms in Stroud.
In England, 2 out of every 5 bedrooms are not being slept in, creating a startling number of 30 million empty bedrooms. In the Stroud District alone, we have 25,000 more bedrooms than people. Maybe we don’t suffer from a housing shortage, but rather from unequal distribution.
