About the event

BUILD YOUR OWN BAT DETECTOR

In the first of hopefully many workshops - we will be building a small-wearable (broach pin) 'Griff Mini' bat detector that connects to smartphones & tablets. These have been engineered by Phil Atkins from Wiltshire Bat Group - who will be leading the workshop.

To build a detector you will need to bring along:

  • 🙌 A steady pair of hands! Some of the components are only mm long. The leader will demonstrate methods to help with accurate placement.

  • 👓 Good close-range eyesight - if you use reading glasses make sure you bring them!
